Born from a Need for Calm
My relationship with candles began long before HarmoLux.
Growing up in the Democratic Republic of Congo, power cuts were part of everyday life. Candles were something we regularly used to bring light into our home, especially during family prayers in the mornings and evenings.
Back then, they were simple and unscented. Years later, after moving to the UK, I discovered scented candles and realised that something so familiar to me could create an entirely different experience.
As life became busier, candles gradually became part of my own little moments — a quiet start to the morning, a freshly cleaned home, a relaxing bath, or simply switching off after a long day.
Eventually, I started making my own. What began as something I enjoyed creating became HarmoLux — a way of sharing the atmosphere and comfort that candles have brought into different chapters of my life.

Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Candy, the founder of HarmoLux Candles. 💛
For as long as I can remember, I've had a mind that rarely switches off. There are always thoughts, plans, responsibilities and a hundred little things competing for my attention. And sometimes, it can all feel overwhelming.
Over the years, I've learned to find comfort in small rituals that help me slow down and reconnect with the present moment. One of those rituals is lighting a candle.
For me, it's more than enjoying a beautiful fragrance. It's the sound of striking a match, the gentle flicker of the flame, the soft glow and the scent slowly filling the room.
Something about that simple experience gives my mind a place to settle. It doesn't make every thought disappear, but it creates a little pocket of calm where everything feels a bit more manageable.
And sometimes, that's all I need.
That's part of what inspired me to create HarmoLux.
I wanted to share that experience with others, especially those who know what it's like to carry so much in their minds while trying to keep up with everyday life.
I know a candle won't change everything. But I believe the little moments we create for ourselves can make a difference in how we experience our day.
HarmoLux is my way of sharing those moments, one fragrance at a time.
