HarmoLux Candles respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you visit our website, contact us, sign up to our newsletter or place an order with us.
Information We Collect
When you use our website or place an order, we may collect information such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery address, order details and information you provide when contacting us or subscribing to our newsletter.
Payment information is processed securely by the payment providers available through our website. HarmoLux Candles does not directly store your full payment card details.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to process and deliver your orders, provide customer service, respond to enquiries, manage payments and refunds, and operate and improve our website. Where you have chosen to receive marketing emails, we may also use your contact details to send you news, offers and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
How We Share Your Information
We only share personal information where necessary to operate our business and provide our services, such as with payment providers, delivery providers and companies that help us operate our website. We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & Website Analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help it function properly, understand how visitors use the site and improve your browsing experience. Some cookies are essential for the website to work, while others may be used for analytics or marketing purposes. Where required, you will be asked for your consent before non-essential cookies are used.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including fulfilling orders, providing customer service and meeting our legal, accounting and tax obligations. When personal information is no longer required, we will securely delete or dispose of it where appropriate.
Lawful Basis for Using Your Information
We only use your personal information where we have a lawful basis to do so. This may include processing your information where it is necessary to fulfil your order or take steps at your request before a purchase, to comply with our legal obligations, or for our legitimate business interests where these do not override your rights. Where we rely on your consent, such as for certain marketing communications, you may withdraw your consent at any time.
Your Data Protection Rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to request access to your information, ask us to correct inaccurate information, request deletion in certain circumstances, restrict certain uses of your information, object to certain processing, and request the transfer of your information where applicable.
You also have the right to object to your personal information being used for direct marketing. If you have given consent to a particular use of your information, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we use your personal information, please contact HarmoLux Candles first so that we can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator. Further information is available from the ICO.
